RMM has been conducting research on knowledge as a commodity
for consumption and production for the last twenty-five years
since the publication of his book, "Library Resource Allocation"
in 1981 from England and the USA by the MCB University Press.
In 1984 he had formulated two general theories of
Knowledge/ Informatics/ Information Technology that got published
from Moscow by the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1985, in the book
'Theoretical Problems of Informatics', edited by Prof. A.I. Mikhalove.
These theories are later known as Mathew's Theories of Knowledge
or Information Technology and two doctoral degrees have been awarded
based on these theories, besides they formed part of the M. Phil
Syllabi.
Knowmatics and Knowledge Technology, as formulated by Mathew,
are the extensions of Mathew's theories of Knowledge.
The basic concepts of Knowmatics and Knowledge technology were
originally presented in the seminar on Twenty Years of Mathew's
Theories of Knowledge / Informatics held at Calicut University
on 9th February 2005.
